This replica faithfully reproduces an imposing Corinthian helmet attributed to early 5th-century BCE Greece (ca. 500–475 BCE), as preserved in the collection of The Cleveland Museum of Art. The original form exemplifies classic Greek hoplite armor: a fully enclosing bronze helmet with almond-shaped eye openings, large cheekpieces, a pronounced nose guard, and a high crest ridge. The surface features intricate decorative elements, including dueling warriors in relief, a silver-inlaid palmette, and a distinctive meander pattern border—details that distinguish it from standard functional helmets of the period.
The replica captures these characteristics with precision, including the helmet’s elegant proportions and the unique decorative scheme. It measures approximately 21.5 cm in height in full scale where production allows.
