This 3D-printed replica reproduces an Attic funerary statue of a mourning girl, originally created in Attica around 360 BCE. The figure is shown with her head resting on her hand, a restrained gesture that gives the work its distinctive character of quiet grief and reflection. In the original sculpture, this pose formed the emotional focus of the monument and expressed the dignified sadness associated with Late Classical Greek funerary art.
The replica preserves the intimate scale and contemplative presence of the original work. Rather than emphasizing dramatic expression, the figure conveys mourning through stillness, balance, and controlled form. As in the ancient model, the young age of the figure is central to its meaning, suggesting loss, remembrance, and a life interrupted before full maturity. The result is a sculpture of unusual calm, suitable both as a study object and as a decorative piece for those with an interest in Greek art, funerary culture, and Classical sculpture.
This replica is available in several materials, each offering a different character:
White Nylon
A polished material with a smoother surface to the touch. This is the most economical option and gives the object a clean, refined appearance.
Black Nylon
Finished with a Color Touch treatment after post-processing. This material offers a uniform black surface, strong resistance to scratching and rubbing, and consistent quality across production batches.
Bronze
Produced through metal casting from a 3D-printed wax master model. This process gives the replica a solid and elegant metallic character.
Gold Plated Brass
Also produced through metal casting from a highly precise 3D-printed master. This option gives the object a more luxurious appearance while preserving the form of the original sculpture.
White Rhodium Plated Brass
Made through the same casting process, with a cool-toned plated finish that gives the replica a bright and refined metallic surface.
Please note that objects which are too large for the production process in a given material may be produced at a smaller scale than the original. In some cases, hollowing is also added in order to reduce the price.
