Introducing a meticulously crafted 3D-printed Museum Replica of the “Tengu Travelling as a Priest,” inspired by an original ivory carving from the Edo period of Japan (1615–1868). This finely detailed miniature sculpture, measuring 3.9 cm (1 9/16 inches) in height, faithfully captures the essence of the Tengu, a mythical figure from Japanese folklore.
The Tengu is a complex character, embodying both protector and trickster roles within Japanese cultural and spiritual traditions. With its distinct features, such as an elongated nose and the traditional garb of a yamabushi or mountain monk, this replica serves as a fascinating symbol of the intricate blend of Buddhist and Shinto beliefs that have shaped Japanese history.
Crafted using high-quality 3D printing technology, this replica retains the exquisite details and delicate artistry of the original ivory carving. Perfect for collectors, enthusiasts of Japanese culture, or those seeking a unique decorative piece, this 3D-printed Tengu is a testament to the enduring appeal of traditional Japanese mythology and craftsmanship.
