This is a precise 3D-printed Museum Replica of the Vicarello Goblet, an exceptional example of Roman silversmithing from the Augustan period (25 BCE–25 CE). The original silver drinking cup, now in the collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art, features a continuous repoussé relief frieze depicting a rustic ritual in honor of Priapus, the Roman god of fertility, gardens, and male sexuality. Priapus appears as an ithyphallic figure at the center, flanked by ecstatic followers including a satyr and maenad, within a rural shrine setting that evokes Dionysian themes of wine, abundance, and liberation.
